CIPS Designation Course - Certified International Property Specialist Designation
International real estate opportunities are everywhere. New people move to the U.S. from other countries every day and foreign-born individuals residing in the U.S. move to new markets. Americans in your current market invest in property overseas; No matter which international audience you cater to, the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS).
By earning your CIPS designation, you will gain access to the CIPS Network. This members-only group is specifically for international practitioners of the National Association of REALTORS® who have earned the CIPS designation. Comprised of over 2,800 real estate professionals specializing in all types of real estate, the CIPS Network provides a 360° view of the global market. In any type of international real estate transaction, members are consumers' best and most trusted resource for navigating the international market.
To earn your CIPS designation, you will need to complete two core courses, three elective courses, and submit your designation application demonstrating 100 points of international experience. Any courses completed more than 3 years prior to the submission of your application must be retaken to receive credit towards the education requirement of the designation.

-March 5 - Global Real Estate: Local Markets - This introductory course offers you an overview of the international real estate business environment, including capital flow, currencies, government regulations and cultures. Topics such as international brokerage, networking, marketing, and selling will also be discussed. 7 Elective Credits
-March 6 - Global Real Estate: Transaction Tools - This course provides you with the tools needed to present investment information to international clients—in their currency and area. You will learn how to measure investment performance, prepare financial projections, and understand the effects of taxes and exchange rates on investment.  7 Elective Credits
-March 9 - Asia/Pacific & International Real Estate - This course introduces real estate professionals to the basic skills and knowledge necessary to facilitate international transactions with Asian clients. The course benefits both experienced real estate professionals as well as those just getting started.
-March 10 - Europe & International Real Estate - This course introduces real estate professionals to the basic skills and knowledge necessary to facilitate international transactions with European clients, and is designed to benefit both experienced real estate professionals as well as those just getting started.
-March 11 - the Americas & International Real Estate - This course offers students practical information on working with regions of the Americas and provides historical and cultural influences, regional relationship, and investment opportunities from that region. It is designed to benefit both experienced real estate professionals as well as those just getting started.

Designation Cancellation Policy: If a course is CANCELLED, a refund check will be issued within 10 Business days. NO registration fee will be refunded for any reason on the day of the class. If a member wishes to drop out of a class, at any time, a written notice must be submitted 3 business days in advance of the starting date in order to receive a tuition refund, minus a $100 cancellation fee. The notice must be e-mailed to Adriana@GreaterBergenRealtors.com  or Kathy@GreaterBergenRealtors.com . If you decide to transfer to another class, note this is a one-time courtesy at no additional charge, unless the fee for the other class is greater, a difference of payment will be required and submitted. GBR reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified prior to the event and full refunds will be issued by check.
