Whether someone is new to commercial real estate or still trying to decide if a career in commercial real estate is the right choice, this course provides a foundational understanding of commercial real estate. In this course, students can start down the road to understanding commercial real estate, also referred to as investment real estate. It’s worth noting that in the context of real estate, the terms commercial and investment are commonly used interchangeably. The course discusses commercial real estate and investment real estate at a high level, looking at the marketplace and some of the pros and cons of dealing in commercial and investment properties. Then, it looks at leases and how licensees earn commissions on commercial real estate transactions.
